If your medication is on our list, it's included in your membership. Ongoing medications ship to your door, and medications you need today are ready for pickup at a local pharmacy.

When you need a specialist

When a question calls for a specialist’s input, Dr. Patel can consult with a board-certified specialist through our network of more than 130 specialties at no extra cost to members. If an in-person specialist visit is the right next step, we’ll help coordinate a referral.

How Sarova Works With Your Insurance

No insurance is needed to join Sarova. We don’t bill insurance for your membership or visits, but you can still use it for care outside Sarova.

I have a PPO or HMO through work.

Keep your insurance and enjoy longer visits, no copays, and direct access to your doctor. If you have an HMO, check whether you need an in-network primary care doctor for referrals.

I have a high-deductible health plan.

A high-deductible plan pairs well with Sarova. You can use HSA funds for your membership. Our lab rates, with included generic medications often cost less than paying toward your deductible.

I have Medicare.

We welcome Medicare patients at our practice. Our model adds a layer of personalized support to your current plan.

Please note we do not bill Medicare and medicare does not cover monthly fees.

I don't have insurance.

You’re welcome to join Sarova. Your membership includes primary care, discounted lab prices, and a pharmacy benefit with 1,000+ generic medications. When helpful, we can also arrange an electronic specialist consultation at no extra charge. If you need in-person specialty care or imaging, we’ll help you explore your options, including cash-pay prices.

I’m glad you found Sarova Health.

After years in primary care and hospital medicine, I saw how often people needed more time, easier access, and a doctor who truly understood their health. Too often, a visit allowed enough time to refill a medication, but not enough to understand the full picture.

I founded Sarova Health to practice medicine thoughtfully, personally, and in partnership with each patient. Care is built around the relationship between you and your doctor rather than insurance billing.

The name Sarova, pronounced suh-ROH-vah, is inspired by the Sanskrit word sarovara, meaning a lake or calm body of water. It represents the kind of care I want patients to experience that is steady, unhurried, and personal.

I’m board-certified in internal medicine and completed my training through a Yale-affiliated residency program at CIFC Health in Connecticut. I later served as Associate Program Director, helping train other physicians. My work in primary care, hospital medicine, and medical education across different communities reinforced the same lesson again and again: good care depends on time, trust, and truly knowing the person behind the symptoms.

Sarova Health is built around a small, dedicated patient panel. Your ongoing care stays with me, giving me time to listen, understand your history, and consider more than the symptom in front of us. You also have a direct way to reach me when questions come up.
